JobPath was awarded a grant under the President’s High Growth Job Training Initiative, as implemented by the U.S. Department of Labor’s Employment and Training Administration, in June of 2005. This grant supports a Biotechnology Summer Institute for high school students in Pima County, and provides paid internships with biotechnology employers and financial support to students enrolled in the Pima Community College Biotechnology Certificate program.
The Advisory Committee includes representatives from the:
- Flinn Foundation,
- Pima County One Stop Career Center,
- La Paloma Family Services,
- Office of the Pima County Superintendent of Schools
- University of Arizona BIO5,
- The Translational Genomics Research Institute (TGen)
- The Bioindustry Organization of Southern Arizona (BIOSA)
